2SLGBTQ+ Oklahomans continue to be under attack by those elected to serve at The Oklahoma State Capitol. 

Numerous bills aiming to harm 2STGNC+ Oklahomans including the community's youth were introduced during the latest Legislative Session. 

During this slate of attacks, Tulsa Athletic was the state's only sports team to use its platform to support 2SLGBTQ+ Oklahomans. While we'll still find other Oklahoma sports teams hosting their 2023 Pride Night festivities for merch and ticket sales, we won't forget that Tulsa Athletic stood by us during the legislative session when all we heard was silence from other sports teams with platforms.

On May 1st, 2023, Governor Kevin Stitt signed SB 613 into law. SB613 prohibits health care professionals in Oklahoma from providing gender-affirming care to 2SLGBTQ+ youth.  

ACLU OK, Lambda Legal, & others are already taking legal action against Oklahoma on this matter. However, after receiving feedback from Freedom Oklahoma on how we can be the most helpful with this summer's Prideraiser, Main Street Greens and The Tulsa Armory are linking up on a joint Prideraiser campaign in 2023 to raise funds for The Campaign for Southern Equality's Southern Trans Youth Emergency Project program. The Campaign for Southern Equality is working in partnership with Freedom Oklahoma to provide $250 rapid grants to those impacted & needing assistance & relief while enduring the harms of SB-613.

As of 05/14/2023, Tulsa Athletic only has three scheduled matches in June 2023. Take note that if any TA friendly matches are added to the club's schedule in June, we will add those matches to our Prideraiser. If the TA NPSL schedule has any changes, we'll review and update the Prideraiser campaign accordingly.
