The Foot Soldiers started out in 2015 at a Foothills FC U23 match, by a bunch of 12 guys who loved the Beautiful Game. It didn’t matter who we loved, where we came from, or the colour of our skin — we share one love: the football!

Fast forward to today, and we are the voices that drives the noise at Cavalry FC matches at Spruce Meadows. But despite growing from a dozen guys to hundreds of Calgarians of all stripes, we have not forgotten the values we were founded on.

We love our team, and we love our city. So in our first year of supporting our team in a new league (the Canadian Premier League), we’re starting something new: with a Prideraiser benefiting Calgary Outlink!

What is Outlink, you ask? They are an organization that is at the front lines of the LGBTQI+ community in Calgary, providing assistance and educational programs for folks of all ages. Needless to say, that’s pretty damn cool. And also bloody costly…so why not help them out, and support your Cavalry at the same time?

How can you help? - Make a pledge. Every little bit helps! - For every goal the Cavalry score in the six matches (Canadian Championship matches will be tacked on if the Cavs qualify) between August 10 & September 2, your pledge will be multipled. The more goals the Cavs score, the bigger your contribution to Outlink’s fine work! - After the match window is over, you’ll get a lovely email from us to remind you to donate directly to Outlink. No one takes a cut here!
