For the 2023 NWSL ACTS Campaign, Rose Room Collective is proud to support the DC Eleven (XI) Project. The DC XI Project is a youth soccer club based in Washington, DC formed from understanding the barriers that prevent working class families and children in the District from approaching the game. As featured in NPR on December 2022, DC XI embraces a hybrid "Pay what you can" model, minimizing the financial burdens that the current "pay-to-play" structure that the US youth soccer system upholds. These are the kinds of barriers that historically prevent Black and Brown families from considering the sport of soccer and any programs that eliminate those barriers are the values Rose Room Collective supports.
