Chicago Local 134, Black Fires, and The Red Line SG are raising money for our favorite local non-profit, Sarah Gorden’s HoodSpace!

Support HoodSpace today by pledging a few dollars per goal scored by the Chicago Red Stars during the 2021 Challenge Cup. At the end of the tournament, we’ll let you know how to make your donation directly to HoodSpace via Venmo.

“HoodSpace Chi is a soon-to-be non profit organization where we will help girls of color find their space of flow through yoga, meditation and sport.

In Chicago, our communities of color have seen the horrible and violent effects of systemic racism. Meditation and yoga are outlets to bring presence, mindfulness and healing. Through these outlets individuals find the ability to process, accept and transform emotions, thus leading to an empowered individual.

Sport is where we learn about confidence and creativity. At some point, you always fail in sport. But you find through perseverance, teamwork and passion…you can overcome those failures that once felt so big. Sport is an escape from the world. It’s where you find your blank slate and place of flow.

Through sport, yoga, and meditation we will bring connection, confidence, and empowerment.”
