Chicago Local 134, Black Fires, and The Red Line SG are raising money for Affinity Community Services, a social justice organization serving the needs of the Black LGBTQ+ community with a particular focus on Black women.

"Affinity’s work focuses on three intersecting areas: health wellness & safety, education and civic engagement. As queer and transgender people of color living in communities of color, we are subject to violence, poverty, structural racism, ageism, gender-bias, and other barriers to healthy living and being. These issues are heightened when we layer on gender-identity and sexual orientation. Affinity works to engage individuals to define and lead community change by working with them to prioritize issues, develop and implement action plans, and creating opportunities to showcase their leadership."

Pledge $1 or more per Red Stars goal in June, and at the end of the month you'll make a donation directly to Affinity. Say you pledge $5 and the Red Stars score 7 goals, you'll donate $35. It couldn't be easier to support the team AND a wonderful Chicago organization.
