OutFront Minnesota was founded in 1987 to fight for LGBTQ+ justice and equity. Over the past 36 years, they have worked to ensure that the values of liberation and intersectional justice guide their work until full equality under the law and full equity in practice is realized.

The organization is community-based and uses memberships and other fundraising to support its activities, as well as receiving support from foundations and corporations.
